Alexander, Mark

It's hard to argue against the fact that Mark Alexander's work is just creative tracing. He takes an original work, meticulously drains it of its colour and then exhibits it. His most famous piece is 'The Blacker Gachet' - it's basically a darker version of Van Gogh's original. It is supposed to be more melancholic as we pine for Van Gogh's colours but it simply makes a classic picture less visible. They might as well just cover the painting up completely.
